The historic castle in new splendor
Gernot W. Wagner, the tenant of Schloss Montfort, is a native of Langenargen. Even as a youth, he spent a great deal of time at Schloss Montfort, especially behind the bar in what was then a popular club. As a young man, he developed a deep connection to Langenargen and fell in love with the castle. His greatest dream at the time was to one day run the castle himself and create unforgettable moments for the citizens and guests of Langenargen.
His career later took him out of Langenargen, first to New York and then via London, before returning home to Frankfurt. The dream of one day returning to Langenargen and bringing the castle back to life remained. Today, this heartfelt wish has come true: Gernot W. Wagner has leased Montfort Castle and aims to bring the property back to life. He is particularly keen to restore the castle to the vibrant and impressive meeting place it once was for the people of the beautiful Lake Constance region.
